There are a huge amount of medication options. I wouldn't imagine you've hit the end of those yet.
I've tried so many though.
I tried masses before I got to the medication I'm on now. So many I can't even remember them all.
I've tried a lot too, I can barely remember either.
All you can do is talk to him and see what he says. I wouldn't spend too much time thinking about it until you need to, those kind of thoughts can lead to a downward spiral even though the fears might never be realised.
Have you worked with a psychiatrist previously? I admit, for me, that meeting new people over the years has got easier, but it certainly used to be tough. Certainly when I met my psychiatrist for the first time this year I was uneasy about it, but she has been a godsend.
As Spork said there are numerous medications available and I would be surprised if you have run through all options. Again, I know it is easier said than done and the unknown can be the most troubling of all, but try not to worry about things you cannot directly influence.
Thanks for your replies. I've met a lot of psychiatrists unfortunately and I usually find them intimidating.
Sure it's understandable given their knowledge of the subject matter. I'm sure that there is the one out there that can put you at ease and work well with you as an individual. Hopefully that is the one tomorrow.
Thank you. I really hope so.
